Will plantation shutters make my rooms
dark?
The response from customers and ourselves is
no. The satin finish of our shutters helps reflect
a soft light into the room. Plantation Shutters
in the darker colours and with smaller louvres
will not bring as much light in as larger louvres
and lighter colours, this effect is similar
to light bright curtains against heavier drapes.
How long is the lead-time for my order?
The lead-time is 5 to 6 weeks from the date
of order confirmation / receipt of deposit.
Can the lead-time be speeded up?
The shutters are made within 2 or 3 days of
order, however they have to be shipped back
to the UK and it is this that takes the time.
Shutters can be sent by airfreight, which considerably
cuts down the lead-time, the price starts at
£50 per m + vat or £250 + VAT. Our
standard service where your shutters would be
shipped back in a dedicated container is tried
and tested and worth the short wait.
Can I put your shutters in a bedroom,
as a form of blackout?
Shutters are not blackout due to tolerances
required for slat movement and the opening and
closing of panels.
Can shutters be fitted onto UPVC windows?
Our simple answer is yes, we have the expertise
and experience to overcome most situations,
give us a call to see what we can do for your
window situation.
Do you offer a Measure and Installation
Service?
Yes, we pride ourselves on our knowledgeable
and experienced in-house survey and fitting
team. Normally, our measuring service is free
of charge, although there may be exceptions
for remote enquiries. We like to discuss the
nature of an enquiry prior to a site visit.
We will only fit shutters where we have surveyed.
Can I fit the shutters myself?
Yes. We offer a SUPPLY ONLY mail order service,
whereby the shutters are made based on your
measurements, and then sent directly to you
for self-fitting. Once placed orders can not
be changed. Please contact us so we can advise
you on measuring your windows.
